The Longest Table Brings Bay County Together

Last month, United Way of Bay County’s The Longest Table presented by Dow, took place at Bay City’s Uptown Drive. This year’s Longest Table brought over 420 people together to share an evening, a meal, a community, and a commitment to making Bay County a better place for all.

The evening was filled with great food, live entertainment, meaningful conversations, and an opportunity for community members to celebrate the people, organizations, and businesses that make our community strong.

A $200,000 Investment in Food Security

One of the evening’s most impactful moments came when United Way of Bay County was presented with a $200,000 check from Consumers Energy to support Food Forward, United Way’s program to help local families access groceries and other essential resources.

This generous investment will help United Way continue addressing food insecurity and ensuring that more families in our community have access to the basic necessities they need to thrive.

We are incredibly grateful to Consumers Energy for their continued partnership and commitment to Bay County.

An Evening Made Possible by Our Community

The Longest Table would not be possible without the incredible businesses, volunteers, community leaders, and supporters who came together to make the event happen.

A special thank you goes to our committee members, United Way staff, board members, and volunteers. Their time, energy and dedication helped make this year’s event our most successful yet.

We are also grateful to the many local businesses and community partners who helped make the evening special:

  • Vinny’s Pizzeria for serving dinner and providing appetizers for the Sponsor Cocktail Party
  • Michigan Cream & Sugar Ice Cream Company for providing dessert
  • Tri City Brewing Company for bartending
  • Regent Floral & Mercantile for the beautiful centerpieces
  • Mid-Michigan NOW’s Stella Daskalakis and 96.1 WHNN’s Rachel Geddes for emceeing the evening
  • Empty Canvas Live for providing live entertainment
  • Frank Hidalgo of Hidalgo Entertainment for providing music for the Sponsor Cocktail Party
  • Prost Wine Bar & Charcuterie and Real Seafood Company Bay City for helping provide appetizers for our Sponsor Cocktail Party

And, of course, thank you to all of our Longest Table sponsors. Your support makes it possible for United Way of Bay County to continue investing in programs and initiatives that create lasting change throughout our community.

Celebrating What We Can Accomplish Together

At its heart, The Longest Table is about more than a meal. It’s about bringing people together and reminding us that we all have a role to play in building a stronger community.

Every person who attended, volunteered, sponsored, donated, or helped make the evening possible contributed to something bigger than themselves. Together, we celebrated our community and the work being done to uplift our neighbors and create greater opportunities for everyone.

We are incredibly thankful to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s Longest Table the best and longest table yet!
