Home for the Holidays at Labadie Lofts

There is no place like home for the holidays, and this year the young adults at the Labadie Lofts are able to make theirs complete for the Christmas season! 🎁🎄
Thanks to Forward Corporation’s generousity, United Way was able to obtain a grant through the Bay Area Community Foundation, to gift the young adults living in the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City’s Labadie Lofts a Christmas they won’t forget! Each YA received basic necessities such as cleaning supplies, laundry items, food for their apartments, bus passes, or a gas card, as well as Christmas cookies from Petit 4 Pastry, and gifts from their wish lists! With the help from our friends at Bay City Department of Public Safety, yesterday we were able to deliver these gifts, as well as hold a Christmas party for the residents, where we decorated Christmas cookies, played holiday games, listened to music, and just got to know one another more! The residents were all so pleasant, and are turly so deserving of this. ❤️
The Home for the Holidays initiative would not have been possible without the help from our partners listed above, as well as our awesome volunteers, and board members who shopped for their gifts! We are so happy we were able to gift them a wonderful holiday celebration!
