Day of Caring
About
In celebration of Earth Day, Day of Caring is a community-wide volunteer event that focuses on cleaning up city parks, revitalizing green spaces, and lending a hand to local nonprofit agencies. It’s a chance for residents, businesses, and organizations to roll up their sleeves and take part in meaningful projects that directly improve the places we live, work, and play.
Volunteer to clean up a local park, plant some flowers, refresh some paint, organize some bins, or haul out debris. Volunteers of all ages work side by side to make a visible impact in just one day of collaboration. Day of Caring is more than a cleanup; it’s a showcase of community pride and a reminder that when we come together, we can create lasting change right here at home.

United Way of Bay County coordinates a wide range of volunteer opportunities that make it easy for anyone to get involved and give back. One of our signature efforts is the Wenonah Park Clean-Up, a hands-on project that invites volunteers to help refresh one of our city’s most beloved public spaces. Whether you’re raking leaves, planting flowers, or simply lending a hand, there’s a role for everyone.
This collective impact day is about more than just beautifying our parks, it’s about strengthening community connections and taking pride in the place we call home. When neighbors come together with a shared goal, even small actions add up to big results for Bay Count
