365 Small Business United is a group of local small business owners who are committed to investing in the ongoing, impactful and meaningful work of United Way of Bay County. We've created an easy and affordable way for small businesses to make a lasting impact in their community. DAY OF CARING
In celebration of Earth Day, join your fellow community members, friends, and co-workers for a morning of volunteering! United Way of Bay County will coordinate a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout our community offering something for everyone, including Wenonah Park Clean-Up!
We invite you to gather a group and pre-register through the Volunteer Michigan website (more info to come). Volunteers will gather at Wenonah Park at 7:30am on April 26th for check-in before heading to their site for the morning. Teams will assist organizations such as Self Love Beauty, Bay City Downtown Management Board, Bay County Child and Senior Citizen Center, Boys & Girls Club of the Great Lakes Bay Region, Foster Families Navigation & Resource Center, and Disability Services Resource Center with clean-up and beautification projects. Afterwards, everyone will meet back up again at Wenonah Park for lunch and fun! T-shirts, breakfast, lunch, tools and more will be provided.
GOLF-A-DAY FOR UNITED WAY
Join us for our 21st annual Golf-A-Day for United Way! This event continues to be a favorite in the community, and it offers participants the perfect opportunity to get outside in the sunshine, network, and connect all while supporting a great cause! This is an exciting and innovative way to get your business in front of many local professionals and area businesses while drawing attention to United Way’s mission.
This outing features mulligans, a 50/50 raffle, a delicious chicken dinner, Closest to the Pin, prizes, and other fun games at the holes. Enjoy top-notch service from our friends at Maple Leaf Golf course as you play 18 holes and engage in friendly competition with other Bay County professionals.
HELEN WIRT LEE BACK 2 SCHOOL PROGRAM
In partnership with the Bay Area Community Foundation, our Helen Wirt Lee Back 2 School Program provides new clothing, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies to ALICE families in order to help relieve some of the financial burden brought on by the start of a new school year. United Way of Bay County recognizes the importance of sending kids to school prepared and ready to learn. This program ensures that students can start the new school year feeling confident, comfortable, and ready to learn.
By sponsoring this program, you can help to ensure that all children have access to the supplies and resources they need to excel in the classroom. United Way of Bay County continues to fight for the health, education, and income stability of every person in our community. Volunteer opportunities are also available. Join us for a United Way of Bay County fundraising event! This unique outdoor dining experience brings together people from all walks of life to share a meal at one grand table spanning the length of a city block -- because everyone deserves a seat at the table. Celebrate our amazing community by enjoying live entertainment, cold drinks, a family-style meal, delicious dessert, and more on Washington Avenue in Downtown Bay City!
In partnership with some incredible local organizations that serve disadvantaged populations in Bay County and through the generosity of our sponsors, additional tickets will be dispersed to underserved populations. This is how we will ensure a truly diverse and accurate representation of our community.
