Bay County will receive an award of $67,513 as part of CARES Funding through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program specifically to assist non-profit organizations for Covid-19 related expenditures during this pandemic. This is part of a congressional grant of $200,000,000 to supplement and expand emergency food and shelter programs across the nation during this crises. Any non-profit, faith based or local government agency that provides food and shelter services may apply for funds under this program. The spending period for these funds will be from June 1st 2020 through May 31st 2021. The EFSP Local Board will meet in June to evaluate applications and make awards under this program. The submission of an application does not guarantee that the organization will receive grant money.
