Volunteer

The Volunteer Resource Center, VRC, is funded by the United Way of Bay County. Its vision is to "mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community problems."

If a person is interested in volunteering but does not know which agency needs help, he or she can call the VRC. The VRC meets with the individual to assess his time available, interests and skills. Then by using a community-wide database of opportunities, the volunteer is matched with a non-profit organization.

VRC staff work with all non-profits in Bay County. If a non-profit agency has a one-time project or needs a long-term volunteer, it contacts the VRC and can have volunteers referred to them. The VRC can place volunteers from children to adults. The service is free!  To learn more about our volunteer opportunities visit the pages below.
