The United Way of Bay County is working to instill long- term self- sufficiency in our community by increasing access to resources providing assistance for employment skills and basic needs. Ultimately, increasing the percentage of Bay County residents living above the 250% poverty level toward long term self- sufficiency. 26% of Bay County residents are ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained; Employed) according to the 2017 ALICE Report and an additional 26% were reported in the 2017 Bay Human Services Collaborative Council Report Card to be eligible recipients of public assistance programs.
